Thank you to all our guests who helped us raise $4,069 for No Kid Hungry In September by buying our Burger of the Month, the Apple Bacon Brie Burger. Thanks to your generosity we more than doubled last year's proceeds of $1,836.
"Every 90 days, do some kind of charity work; donate time, mind and soul" We print this saying on our company mission card that each employee is given. However, it is not just a saying, we put our words into action. Below is a list of organizations and events that we have donated our time, resources or money to. If you would like to join us at any of these events please email Jaclyn Brattain at email@example.com
Annual Feast for the Less Fortunate
For the past 6 years- Scotty’s Brewhouse have hosted a “Feast for the Less Fortunate” on Thanksgiving Day at their Downtown Indianapolis location. “Six years ago we started our Thanksgiving Event and every year it has continued to grow and become better,” said Scott Wise, President and CEO of a Pots and Pans Production. “This year we are working with even more shelters and organizations to provide a great meal to over 350 people, and this year after our lunch is complete (remove) we will be delivering food to the Ronald McDonald House to feed over 100 people. We also take food to local nurses, doctors and families at area hospitals that aren’t able to enjoy Thanksgiving at home. Anything we have left that we can box up, many of our volunteers drive around the city to handout to the homeless that are living under bridges or on the streets.” Not only does Scotty’s provide a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner to those attending, they also give gifts to the children and to each of the adults. From now until November 20th guests are able to purchase paper turkeys at any of the Scotty’s locations. Guests can choose between a $1 or $5 turkey, place their name on it and then it hang it on the walls of the restaurants. The money from these sales will be used to buy gifts for the children and adults attending the event.
Dine and Donate Nights
We partner with local schools, community organizations and charitable groups for Dine and Donate Events at our locations. When guests come to our restaurant on a date they select and mention their organization, we track and donate 10% of the sales (excluding any sales from food and drink specials) from the group you bring in, back to you – the more people you can bring in, in support of your fundraiser, the higher the sales and the greater the donation. We are able to schedule dine-to-donates on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
Twice a year Scotty’s Brewhouse, Brew Club and Thr3e Wise Men locations have a toy drive and ask for all new, unwrapped toys for the patients of Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital. Toys are delivered in person to the children and their families twice a year along with lunch for the families and nurses.
No Kid Hungry
Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign is focused on ending childhood hunger in America by ensuring all children get the healthy food they need, every day. Each year, Scotty’s Brewhouse locations utilize a specific product or promotion to raise funds for this worthy organization. In September we raised $1836 for this organization.
St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital
This summer we began a partnership with Pepsi Co to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Beginning this fall, Pepsi Co employees began selling cards good at all Scotty’s Brewhouse or Thr3e Wise Men locations for $10 with three promotion offers good through early next year. The offers are reoccurring and can be used multiple times. All proceeds raised from the sale of these cards benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
American Cancer Society - Breast Cancer & Prostate Cancer Research
Each Fall Scotty’s Brewhouse, Brew Club and Thr3e Wise Men locations sell pint glasses in all locations in the months of October and November. 100% of the sales of these promotional glasses are donated back to the American Cancer Society on behalf of Breast Cancer & Prostate Cancer Research.
GET//OUT is a social enterprise creating fun ways to support equality through content, events, and products. BLgT USA was the first 50 State Food Tour for Equality, getting people out for LGBT rights by eating a classic BLT sandwich with a twist. GET//OUT -launched social enterprise creating fresh and fun ways to support LGBT equality, kicked off the BLgT USA this past summer in Provincetown, MA. The organization is activating people locally to promote LGBT rights this summer – simply by eating a BLgT. Participating chefs across the country created classic BLT sandwiches with a twist, with proceeds benefitting partner LGBT community centers all summer long. Throughout the summer, we promoted the BLGT Sandwich and were able to donate $324 back to the Indiana Youth Group as a result.
School Script Programs
Scotty’s Brewhouse locations partner with a number of local schools to participate in their Script programs, benefiting the local education system.
The Julian Center serves as a local resource for victims of domestic violence. In celebration of their 40th Anniversary, Scotty’s Brewhouse locations promoted Sangria the entire month of June with the promise to donate $1 of every sale back to the Julian center. This summer, Scotty’s Brewhouse was able donate $950 back to the Julian Center.
Dayspring Center provides emergency shelter, clothing, and three nourishing meals-a-day for homeless families with children in central Indiana. Families depend on Dayspring as a last resort; some to escape domestic abuse, others have experienced financial collapse, medical problems, or other crises that caused them to lose their home. Each year Scotty’s Brewhouse locations participate in a number of fundraising events for this worth center. We donate food for the summer day camps, sponsor their Annual Minigolf Fundraiser, and partner with other charitable organizations like Pub Theology to help raise additional funds throughout the year.
Pub Theology exists to raise money and awareness for local charities and to engage people in meaningful conversations about faith, hope and love. Daron Earlewine, better known as the Pub Pastor on the Smiley Morning Show and leader of Pub Theology, encourages people to have fun while helping a great cause. Our downtown Scotty’s location became the event location for one of these wonderful events this past fall. Proceeds raised when back to the Dayspring Center.
